Abstract
Focusing resilience in child psychotherapy. The following article focuses on similarities and connections between the concept of resilience and the person-centred approach in child psychotherapy. A strength-oriented perspective on the child, the protective factor of stable relationship as well as the understanding of the self-concept serve as a common ground in both fields which can provide a basis to initiate action and reflection. Specific personal resources, the six resilience factors, systematically relate with parameters of interpersonal interaction and can thus give suggestions for specific measures of resilience promotion within the scope of child psychotherapy.
