Abstract

Gordon W. Allport — A protagonist of humanistic psychology. Allport is presented as an important representative of humanistic psychology. After a short biographic outline, based on his work about personality and his concept of the functional autonomy of motives his way of thinking and scientific work is delineated. The common roots with the Person-Centered Approach are shown.
