Abstract

Disorder-centered psychotherapy of depression. The disorder-centered approach and its theoretical premises and concepts
of treatment. In this paper it is intended to get a synthesis of a „person-centered“ and a „problem-centered“ perspective. I try to expound a „problem-centered“ conception of Person-Centered Psychotherapy also in regarding the „person-centered perspective“. The problem-centered approach must be understood as well as disorder-centered and as person-centered. This kind of problem focusing is depicted by performing different themes. Especially in this context the key-themes of depressive disorder are pointed out. In the therapeutic process the therapist has to anticipate these themes and the psychotherapeutic treatment must be geared to them.
