Abstract

Outcomes of traumatic stress disorder — Therapeutic Guidelines for the Person-centered Psychotherapy with Children, Adolescents and Care Takers. In this article person-centered development in the scope of a disorder-orientated proceeding and perceptions of trauma theory are gathered and presented in their application for therapy with children and young people (in theory and experience). Experienced psycho traumata often results in traumatic outcome disorders for example dissociations and posttraumatic stress disorders. Just in the biographies of children and young people they proceed in a special way, which becomes obvious in the scope of the posttraumatic play. Therapeutic engagement presupposes a differential knowledge of process-psychology and theories of traumata. The diagnostics must be orientated (beneath the child-orientated focusing) in a very consequent way to the disorder picture in order to avoid retraumatizations. The therapeutic approach in the different therapy steps should be adjusted to the conception of disorder and to the needs of the child / adolescent. Person-centered psychotherapy with children and young people is very convenient especially in cases of complex traumata in order to integrate in a cautious way the traumatic experiences into the self-conception of the child/young person.
