Abstract

Motherhood and Person-Centred Psychotherapy. Based on my very personal experience as person centred psychotherapist and as the mother of two children I show how motherhood and Person-Centred Approach are really stimulating each other. Furthermore I discuss to which extent the results of research in the fields of child development and attachment behaviour related to maternal behaviour could be useful for the further development of the person centred theory. I expressly encourage women to confidently integrate their unique wealth of experience to be a mother into their self-image as person-centred psychotherapists.
