Abstract

Depressive Disorders — Therapeutic Guidelines for Person-centered Psychotherapy with Children, Adolescents and Care Takers. The understanding of depressive disorders in childhood and adolescence is based on two interacting factors: On the one hand there are constitutional components, in particular neurophysiologic systems of regulation, and on the other hand there are influences that correlate to experience. The latter include experiences of severe loss, the quality of attachment including the affective relatedness as well as the response by the relevant care takers to these experiences. This person-centered disorder-specific understanding provides the basis of the guideline depression. Depending on age it is divided into different fields: diagnostics, psychotherapeutic treatment of the young patient, and working together with relatives and other care takers.
