Abstract

How do I recognise that change is happening in the client? The author asks some questions coming from his practice as a clientcentred psychotherapist and supervisor as well as from scientific thinking about the client-centred concept. He looks at them from a very personal stance and tries to give some answers in a provisional and unsystematic way: How do I recognise that change is happening in the client (quantitative changes, qualitative changes, pseudo-changes)? How do I recognise that no growth is taking place? What do I do when I have the impression that no changes are happening? How do I as a therapist change through therapy?
