Abstract
Client-centered psychotherapy in the prison. During their work as psychologists in a penal institution, the authors formed i.a. three client-centred therapy groups with convicts of the Rahova Prison in Bucharest. Following an introductory depiction of a psychologists responsibilities in Romanian penal institutions the group therapy‘s goals and its planned stages of process are described, as well as the selection procedure for participation. The actual course of the group therapy is sketched out through a reflection of its central issues and illustrative excerpts of one session-transcript. In their conclusion the group leaders sum up their own experiences and formulate a number of surprising elements of the participants‘ experiencing and their general conduct.
