Abstract

Focusing as physical reality anchoring. This article explains the way in which focusing is used for physical reality anchoring; this occurs, among other ways, in the context of the so-called Sati therapy as developed by M. Frýba. First, the greater context of reality anchoring is explained. Following this, the classic method for focusing and its further development will be presented. Then, how one can use focusing in innovative ways in the context of a psychotherapeutic session is shown. Finally, the author describes the qualitative research on the physically anchored experience within which focusing is used as an introspective method for accessing information.
