Abstract

The ingredients of therapeutic process. This article tries to grasp the most important elements of the therapeutic process. It also discusses the complexity and the difficulties of this process. Important is the interpersonal commitment of the therapist as well as the client’s willingness to let him- or herself become involved in the relationship offered by the therapist. Because of the commitment of the therapist the therapeutic process facilitates corrections on the level of the emotional relationship. It is important to provide the client with tools which help him or her to actualize himor herself. So in each therapy, the therapist needs to tune in on the concrete client. This process finally changes the therapist as well as the client.
