Abstract

Pre-therapy in dementia care. A British study clarifies the extent to which pre-therapy is applicable in dementia care and which prerequisites must be given special consideration. In persons in a pre-expressive state, contact reflection of non-verbal behavior is of greater importance. With regard to verbal skills, the increased use of indefinite articles is relevant. Personal and social factors which adversely affect establishment of contact were also determined.
