Abstract

Person-Centered psychological diagnostics. A psychological diagnostics in the internal frame of reference with children and adolescents. The person-centered approach focuses on understanding in the internal frame of reference and disclaims external judgments. Psychological diagnostics including the application of psychological tests and the external frame of reference of norm tables seems to be quite the opposite on the first view. However, if the focus is laid on the person-centered attitude (positive regard, empathy, congruence) for evaluating what is person-centered and what is not, it becomes evident that psychological diagnostic can be person-centered.
